Karen Hunt, Biography

I have always loved to dance and I have enjoyed studying Ballroom, Latin, Flamenco, and Argentine Tango. However, it was when I embarked upon Raks Sharqui/ Bellydancing that I knew I had found my soul’s dance. At first I studied locally and nearby. Then I discovered Arabesque Dance Academy in Toronto, Canada’s foremost school of Middle Eastern Arts. Founded by Yasmina Ramzy, a humble, amazing dancer and one of the world’s leading authorities on Middle Eastern Dance, Arabesque Academy produces and hosts incomparable dancers. I was hooked. I have spent the past several years studying intensively at Arabesque as well as taking workshops with other world renowned dancers.

4. A good teacher encourages
